Late Night Tales was established back in 2001 and invites the world’s best artists to delve deep into their music collections to create the ultimate “late night” selection, and to produce their own individual take on the concept. The series features over 25 diverse artists such as MGMT, The Flaming Lips, Snow Patrol, Friendly Fires, Arctic Monkeys, Metronomy and now…. Jamiroquai.

All these artists take us on their nocturnal musical journeys and explore vastly different styles, while still delivering a cohesive, musical package, and each compilation offers an exclusive cover version by the curating artist. The all-star, fast car, funk fuelled Jamiroquai is the Late Night Tales connoisseur’s favourite artist to curate the series. Jamiroquai curates a fluid journey through the twilight hours – starting with the Pointer Sisters’ ‘Happiness’ through to early dance anthems like Rufus & Chaka Khan’s ‘Once You Get Started’ and Leon Ware’s ‘What’s Your Name?’ The CD closes with a spoken word piece, Part 3 of ‘The White City’ by Patrick Neate; the perfect close to this old school mix tape.
