Lodge Tapas is a new modern Australian fusion restaurant in the heart of Lane Cove offering the highest quality food at affordable prices.
The modern Australian style tapas restaurant is a fine instalment to the Lane Cove dining scene that has locals buzzing over the delicious and vibrant dishes and family friendly vibe.
Lodge Tapas offers everything from tapas inspired share plates to unique dinner menu options. The entrée / dinner selections are impressive and include Sourdough with olive oil, reduced balsamic and Dukha, Zucchini fries with zatar & crunchy garlic aioli, Arancini balls with wild Mushroom, white truffle oil & aged Parmesan, Lodge antipasto for two with marinated zucchini, eggplant & capsicum, Jamon Serrano & Salumi, olives, aged Parmesan & warm sourdough, Chargrilled haloumi with shallow fried tofu and grilled vegetable sugo, Spicy Buffalo wings with shaved celery served with blue cheese dip, and Double cooked pork belly with baby granny smith apple puree, apple chip and calvados apple serve with grilled canadian scallop with house made vegetable chips.
On our visit, we sampled the delicious Beetroot cured salmon with pickled vegetables as well as the Baby octopus. The octopus was slow cooked in soy, konbu and red wine, with beetroot velvet puree and brioche crouton – lip-smackingly good. The mains were equally as impressive with various beef, chicken, pizza, and pasta options.
As seafood lovers, we went for the Pan grilled ocean trout fillet. The fillet was served with a salad of endive and grilled radicchi and finished with a burnt orange and hazelnut dressing. This combination was perfect making it a highly satisfying meal. And filling to boot when it was paired with a Rocket salad with pear and gorgonzola as a side dish.
We were spoiled for choice when it came time for dessert: dark chocolate fondant with double cream, coconut panna cotta, very berry mango purse, lodge aussie mess, affogato, and the espresso brulee with kahlua englaise. We opted for the latter – a finger-licking good caffeinated option that had us buzzing for the night ahead. Highly recommended.
There really is something for everyone at Lodge Tapas. Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner, step inside and immerse yourself within a vibrantly set interior complemented by a bustling atmosphere.
