Miss Peaches Soulfood Kitchen is turning two this June and is throwing a shindig to have y’all fixin’ for more!
Miss Peaches landed in Newtown in 2013 and she has been sharing her secret family recipes with Sydney’s inner west ever since. The bar, home to Australia’s biggest US craft beer range, still produces the same secret recipe ginger beer, lemonade, watermelon soda and sarsaparilla, along with bespoke cocktails that are granny-slappin’ good.
Its stage has graced some of the biggest local and international talent in blues, roots, soul and gospel, including Valerie June, Ray Beadle, Pete Cornelius, Pat Capocci and dozens more. The turntables, meanwhile, are still manned by the same legendary residents week in week out, including DJs Soup, Hot Gritts, Flashback, Jack Shit, Dusty Fingers, King Opp and Gonz.
The hoedown kicks off to the general public from 8pm on Thursday, 11 June and will feature performances from Pat Capocci and The Brassholes, as well as sets from Miss Peaches DJs.
