Premiering on February 9 to over 1 Million + viewers, NEWTON’S LAW centres on Josephine Newton (Claudia Karvan) a suburban solicitor with an overdeveloped sense of responsibility. Unapologetically obligated to do the right thing, she’s forced to make a return to her briefly glorious stint at the Bar after her small practice goes up in smoke at the hands of a disgruntled client.

With her marriage collapsing and motherhood losing its charm, she is persuaded to join the prestigious Knox Chambers by a seductive colleague and not-so-secret admirer (Toby Schmitz, Crownies).

But despite finding quick success in her barrister’s robes, Josephine still feels an obligation to her former employees and covertly reopens her old office downstairs in the well-to-do chambers carpark.

NEWTON’S LAW also features an outstanding cast of Australian talent, including Brett Tucker (McLeod’s Daughters), Georgina Naidu (Offspring), Sean Keenan (Puberty Blues), Miranda Tapsell (The Sapphires), Andrew McFarlane (Love Child) and Jane Hall (Neighbours).
