Norton Street Italian Festa
A celebration of community, food, music and colour – 29th Norton Street Italian Festa on Sunday 25 October.
Now in its 29th year, Festa is one of Australia’s largest and longest running Italian Festivals offering all things Italian in food and entertainment in the heart of Sydney’s ‘Little Italy’ on Norton Street, Leichhardt.
Market stalls with great food, wine and drink choices, and artisan merchandise will line more than a kilometre of Norton Street. All this will be topped off by Italian entertainers and cooking demonstrations by ‘Italian chefs with taste’!
This year Festa will introduce a long communal table for family and friends to get together to enjoy a ‘long lunch’ with – great food, wines, Birra Moretti, a favourite soft drink and perhaps a lemoncello.
For the ‘little kids’ there’s rides and lots of fun activities’ and – for the ‘big kids’- there’s Auto Festa, Sydney’s largest collection of Italian made motor cars – you can dream about driving an Alfa Romeo, a Ferrari or a Lamborghini.
More than 100,000 visitors regularly come to Festa each year and last year the number was ‘guesstimated’ at 130,000.
So bring your family and friends along for this fun family day out – and as it’s NSW Grandparents’ Day you can make it a special day for nonni/grandparents as well.
