Planar Launches New Bar & Menu
Officially launching their chic new bar, Planar Restaurant and Bar is Darling Harbour’s hottest new venue. Encapsulating a global cuisine coupled with harbourside views, Planar is the perfect spot for after work drinks or a Sunday session with friends. The new menu showcases the restaurant’s flare for modern Australian food with an international twist.
First opening its doors in December 2017, the venue has become a hot favourite for Sydneysiders and tourists alike. With the new bar offering signature cocktails from the ‘Happy Birthday’ (Baileys chocolate deluxe, Cointreau, vanilla vodka, vanilla ice cream and Oreos) to a ‘Lychee Rose Mojito’ (White rum, Lychee liquor. Rose liquor, Lemon juice, Sugar, Mint topped with Soda) and even a ‘Smoking Skulls Head’.
In conjunction with the launch of the new bar, Planar will also be offering cocktail masterclasses with Planar’s mixology expert sharing his flare bartender tips and tricks – the perfect outing for a night out with the girls or corporate events. These workshops require a minimum of 10 cocktail lovers at $95 per head.
Boasting harbourside views whilst being tucked away from the crowds, Planar is the perfect venue to relax after a long day at the office or on a Sunday afternoon. The Mediterranean décor paired with alfresco dining allows foodies to enjoy the best that Darling Harbour has to offer.
With delicious wood fired pizzas, tasty share plates and succulent fresh seafood, Planar’s brand new menu optimises Australian style. From this week, Sydneysiders can enjoy Kingfish Salads, Chargrilled Kangaroo and Pulled Duck Pizza, to name but a few of the hero dishes that will grace the new menu.
In addition, Planar will also be hosting pizza making classes for those eager learn how to craft the perfect pizza dough, how to stretch it like a pro then top it with your favourite ingredients and see it oven-cooked to perfection and enjoy with a group of 10 friends (price: $75 per person).
