Chicks With Decks

Chicks With Decks was a popular monthly all-female DJ event that was held for several years at Sydney’s number one nightclub of the era, the John Ibrahim-owned DCM (UN Nightclub), until the venue’s closure in 2009.

Founded and presented by Danny Canak and Sydney Unleashed, the event aimed to showcase some of the finest female talent in an industry that was, at the time, heavily dominated by males.

It boasted an impressive list of alumni including first lady of house Kate Monroe, the UK’s Jessica Joy, and local talent such as Trinity, Ange, Miss Match, Sveta, Mish, and Cindee who all graced the decks at some point over the years.
