VIVID Sydney in a glass at Cockle Bay Wharf
Back by popular demand, Cockle Bay Wharf adds ‘taste’ to your sensory VIVID Sydney experience this year. Sydney’s favourite dining and entertainment precinct is offering not just one of the best locations to take in the light, music and ideas festival, but also a bespoke $15 cocktail or decadent $10 Lindt dessert in a keepsake illuminated resin glass. Live street performers in lit-up costumes will amp up the entertainment factor in the precinct, complementing the Darling Harbour activations in line of sight.
When creating their special VIVID-inspired cocktails, talented mixologists from participating venues had a theme to keep in mind: make it bright, light, and one of a kind! Hunter & Barrel, Blackbird Cafe, I’m Angus, Adria, Nick’s Seafood, Tokio Hotel Live and Home The Venue are all participating with creations including Boogie Wonderland (Bitters, Elderflower and Sparkling wine), The Huntress (In house barrel-aged spiced Ketel One Vodka, Cointreau and Cranberry juice) and Lemon Teardrop (Limencello, Vodka, Blue Caracao, Lemon juice and Sugar syrup).
If liquor doesn’t tickle your fancy, we’ve also got a seriously decadent dessert available: created exclusively for the Lindt Chocolate Cafe at Cockle Bay Wharf and only available during the festival, the Lindt VIVID Sundae features a delectable combination of vanilla white chocolate ice cream with brownie pieces, chocolate fudge sauce and Chantilly cream, topped with dark and white chocolate shavings; a sweet interpretation of the light and the dark that embodies VIVID.
While you enjoy, entertainers will perform live and free every evening from Thursday – Sunday during the festival. Stilt walkers, juggling acts, and fire twirling will be performed by acts including Space Ballerina, Light Fantastique and Birds of Paradise, all in costumes and props powered by LED lights. Perfect for families and those who enjoy the energy and movement of live street theatre.
