Directed by director, Sophie Hyde (Winner, World Cinema Dramatic Directing Award at Sundance, Winner Crystal Bear Berlin Film Festival) and starring newcomer lead actress, Tilda Cobham-Hervey.
52 Tuesdays intimately captures the journey of a family over the course of an eventful year. Tilda Cobham-Hervey shines in a critically acclaimed, breakout performance as Billie, a 16 year old girl who documents her path to independence, and the formative year she shares with her two closest friends. Her mother James, undertakes a life changing journey, and the personal space she needs means that their once regular and constant relationship is turned on its head and they find themselves meeting once a week on Tuesday’s only. Despite Billie’s rapidly changing world, life keeps on happening with moments of wonderful and sometimes dangerous discovery ahead.
Filmed in real time, every Tuesday over the course of a year, with cast getting their scripts only weeks in advance and only scenes in which they were involved, the groundbreaking way in which the film was made brings a level of authenticity to a film, rarely experienced.
