Contemporary and quirky crime comedy drama Agatha Raisin: The Quiche Of Death, based on the novel series by M C Beaton, is now available to own on DVD. Directed by Geoffrey Sax (Doctor Who, White Noise) and starring a huge ensemble cast of Britain’s finest actors including Ashley Jensen (Ugly Betty) as PR exec Agatha and Hermione Norris (Spooks, MI5, Cold Feet) as long suffering housewife Jo Cummings; this TV telemovie, which aired on ABC to rave reviews and highly successful ratings, is not to be missed.

London PR supremo Agatha Raisin seemingly has it all – with money no object, an executive riverside flat, and a career in PR to die for – but her professional achievements have come at an emotional cost. Dreaming of a more peaceful existence away from it all, she opts for early retirement in the Cotswolds village of Carsely, hoping to win favour from the locals by entering the annual quiche-making competition. But when the judge drops dead in the night, Agatha finds herself the prime suspect in a murder investigation. With her reputation among the village locals plummeting, and her plans for a quiet life hastily evaporating, Agatha must solve the mystery of the Quiche of Death if she is to salvage her dreams.

Agatha Raisin: The Quiche Of Death also stars Robert Bathurst (Downton Abbey) as Agatha’s errant husband Andy, Katy Wix (Not Going Out), as cleaning lady Gemma, Mathew Horne (Game of Thrones) as Agatha’s faithful former assistant Roy, Jamie Glover (An Adventure in Space and Time) as Agatha’s romantic interest James, Jason Barnett (The Bill) as the hapless Di Wilkes and Matt McCooey (One Shot) as lovelorn policeman DC Bill Wong.
