Amaro Montenegro
Oozing a relaxed allure that winks at Europe’s insouciant lifestyle, Amaro Montenegro is a bittersweet botanical liqueur, the perfect answer to those in the sick-of-beer-wine-or-whiskey camp, the supreme sip to inoculate your sobriety this summer.
Crafted daily by an expert herbalist in Italy, Matteo Banoli is the only person in the world who knows the complete recipe with more than 40 perfectly balanced oil, spice, fruit and herb ingredients that make up this bittersweet drop. Digestifs and aperitifs have made a massive comeback; Amaro Montenegro is delicious sipped on the rocks, or with a spritz of soda and some citrus, or ginger ale and mint.
It’s a bartender’s best kept secret. There’s been a shift of late to patrons turning to exotic cocktails and lighter drinks like spritzes and come summer, it’s sure to be the buzzword on many a punter’s lips. Montenegro…
It’s a potable bitter and can be used in a variety of cocktail recipes such as the Monte Manhattan or Montenegroni (see recipes below).
Available at all major liquor retailers nationally, Amaro Montenegro will set you back $49.99 per 700ml bottle. Saluti!
