Aspera combines style, quality and price with new $179 Nitro 2 smartphone
As the cost of living continues to rise and consumers increasingly look for ways to save money whilst trying to compromise as little as possible on their experiences, Aspera Mobile has risen to the challenge with its new, high quality, $179 Nitro 2 smartphone.
Building on the success of Aspera’s popular Nitro smartphone, the Nitro 2 looks, feels and acts considerably different as it presents in its new Pearl effect and more. Aspera Mobile MD Allan Roberston explained, “With our new Nitro 2 we focused in particular on providing even better value for money features whilst significantly raising the features, look and feel. Nitro 2 costs just $179 which, for this kind of phone, is an amazing price for budget conscious consumers who want maximum functionality without the hefty price tag that comes with so many other brands.”
The Nitro 2 isn’t just a pretty face though as in addition to its new Pearl colour and premium feel the phone also boasts a black option, face recognition, fingerprint sensor and NFC for contactless payments all from its large 6.6” HD+ display with maximum viewing space for videos, web browsing and messaging. There’s also dual 4G sim cards, a large 5000mAh battery, 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras, more memory than the original Nitro and a free slimline protective case all included in the $179 price tag.
Robertson added, “You really have to pick the Nitro 2 up to appreciate how good it looks and feels. We’ve really gone all out with the combination of design, functionality and price and quite simply put in the maximum amount of features possible for just $179. This makes the Nitro 2 unique and a compelling value for money proposition as it gives people who do not want to spend many hundreds or even thousands of dollars a great smartphone experience, access to the great Android® OS and all the applications available in the Google Play store.”
It’s hard to argue with Robertson’s logic as the Nitro 2 really does bring high quality design and functionality and represents incredible value for money at just $179.
Robertson added, “Having a Nitro 2 means no-one needs to know you are on a budget when you pull out your smartphone. With its sleek, modern design and colours, along with a free slimline protective case this phone looks right at home next to others costing thousands of dollars. You shouldn’t underestimate its NFC capabilities either as more people than ever consider contactless payments an essential smartphone feature, but it is rarely seen at this price.”
Aspera Mobile have seen a growing demand for highly featured smartphones costing $250 or less recently. This, as many would appreciate, is most likely due to difficult economic conditions for many people who are facing higher living costs across the board. The Nitro 2 is targeted squarely at consumers who want value for their money. There is another pressing issue that the Nitro 2 solves and that comes in the form of the 3G network shutdown that will be complete in Australia by the end of the year. Roberston said, “There are thousands of consumers using 3G only phones and who will need to upgrade to 4G devices this year as all carriers switch off their 3G networks. Bearing in mind it brings the full package of design, functionality and low price the Nitro 2 is a very suitable upgrade option for all of these consumers.”
Nitro 2 is part of Aspera’s very competitive range of phones, something they have made their name in as they have successfully met the needs of value conscious consumers over the last ten years. Allan Roberston concluded, “With full-featured 4G smartphones from $99 to $199 Aspera offers a market leading range of options in that price range. Nitro 2 in particular not only punches far above its weight in the smartphone stakes, but it looks and feels good while it’s doing it.”
Performance
We were quite impressed with the Nitro 2’s performance given its budget price tag. It certainly doesn’t compromise on quality with a responsive touchscreen, a clear and vibrant display and a smooth user interface.
In every day use, it’s fast enough for most daily tasks and the battery lasts an entire day without needing a single charge which is amazing. It also has quite a good camera for its price point – we got some outstanding shots while out exploring but you can also take some great quality selfies with the front camera.
You can snap photos all day and not worry about filling up the space with its generous 64GB storage. The phone even supports dual SIM cards – another feature that’s quite impressive at this price point.
The Aspera Nitro 2 phone is the perfect phone for those on a budget. It might even give phones double its price a run for their money.
