Eve’s Bar at Mercure Sydney
Eve’s Bar at Mercure Sydney has recently undergone a transformation making it the go-to hub for guests, locals and commuters looking for a fresh and reliable lunch or after-work option.
Classic cocktails, wholesome eats and New York inspired interiors are the order of the day at the hotel’s refreshed bar. The bar’s new design lends an urban New York flavour, including accents of black and red set against an exposed brick wall.
Eve’s Bar’s cocktail list features simple classics and signature mixes brought to life by seasonal produce such as Eve’s Apple Pie mixing wheat vodka, Licor43, citrus, vanilla and cinnamon – one of the best cocktails we’ve tasted in Sydney this year! The other highlight is the Bail Agent – Eve’s Bar’s take on the Espresso Martini. Absolutely delicious.
The comprehensive wine list is easy to navigate and bursting with top drops. Not to mention the wide range of local craft beers and spirits that are also available. If you can’t decide what you want, you can give them all a try with a ‘Tasting Paddle’ for only $12.
The relaxed atmosphere has been carried through to the bar’s food and drinks menus – both of which are at the heart of Eve’s Bar. The kitchen is fast becoming known for its range of delicious hand crafted burgers – everything from the Grilled Steak burger right down to the Veggie Deluxe. We couldn’t resist trying The O.G – a massive burger which requires two hands to hold. With beef perfectly grilled, built up with lettuce, tomato, cheese and house made mustard mayonnaise, this one is the hero on the menu.
Not far behind is The Great Southern with buttermilk marinated chicken dusted in southern spices, crisp lettuce, tomato and smoky chipotle burger sauce. Finger licking good! There’s even a selection of fries you can try to accompany each burger. We highly recommend adding some to your order. If you’re in a larger group, you can get some share plates while takeaway options are also available during lunch and dinner.
If burgers aren’t your thing, then there are some classic bites to choose from including Schnitz N’ Chips, Parmmy, Fishin’ Chips, and Caesar Salad. There’s also a selection of flats such as Big BBQ, Char Dude, Son of Piggy, and Cheesy Garlic. One thing’s for sure, you won’t be walking out of here with an empty belly…we certainly didn’t!
The bar’s location is literally central – right at the front of busy Central Station and handy for guests, locals and commuters. Eve’s Bar is a great new addition to Sydney’s small bar scene. If you visit, don’t leave before trying Eve’s Apple Pie – you won’t regret it.
