Revisit family favourite fairytales with the release of Disney’s live action musical, Into The Woods, out now on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD.

Disney’s brilliant, live action adaptation of award winning musical Into The Woods makes a perfect gift for Mothers day. This award nominated film, places a modern twist on several beloved fairytales, exploring just what comes after the classic ‘happily ever after’.

The tale begins with a childless baker and his wife, as they try desperately to escape a curse placed on their family by the witch next door. The Witch will lift this curse only if the pair retrieve for her a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn and a slipper as pure as gold. Witness as the quest, brings the baker and his wife into contact with the iconic fairy tale figures Jack, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel.

After a series of failed attempts, the baker and his wife are finally able to break the spell, however not all is happily ever after. The baker fears that he will make a poor father to his new child, whilst Cinderella becomes disenchanted with royal life. Rapunzel is fearful of the outside world and the Witch loses much of her power.

Despite the fact that many of the struggles throughout the film are overcome, characters and audience alike are reminded to always be careful with what they wish for.
