Much-loved singer-songwriter JASMINE RAE has just launched ‘Heartbeat’ – the upbeat lead single from her album of the same name, out now through ABC Music/Universal.
“This song is about breaking through the noise”, says Jasmine. “We’re bombarded now with “self-help” books and TV ads for gym equipment that will ‘change our life’. Well-meaning people who are more than happy to tell you how to be a better person. How to be more like THEM.
I sometimes find that I lose the balance between listening to advice and listening to my own thoughts, and that puts me on the road to doubt myself. But there’s always going to be one person who disagrees, because we’re all different and that’s a good thing.
‘Heartbeat’ is about listening to your heart and soul… it’s also just a song for you to dance to…. whichever way you want to… dance to the rhythm of your own Heartbeat.”
The ‘Heartbeat’ clip was filmed by award-winning music video producer and film-maker Robb Cox, who has produced over 20 #1 Australian Country Videos. It features Jasmine Rae in her most compelling music video performance to date – as both a performer and actress.
Working with Grammy-winning Nashville producer Luke Wooten (Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Kellie Pickler, The Wolfe Brothers), Jasmine delivers an album that showcases her songwriting prowess and stunning vocals, while cementing her soul and blues influenced country sound.
Jasmine Rae’s 2013 release If I Want To, saw the talented songstress move from strength to strength. The album was nominated for an ARIA Award and 4 x Golden Guitar Awards, including Album of the Year and Top Selling Album of the Year. It also featured three #1 Australian Country Singles including ‘Bad Boys Get Me Good’ featuring US guest Kellie Pickler, which also appeared in the US iTunes Top 20.
Heartbeat is available now.
