Kodiak Drop Bears Land In Australia This Saturday

With the end of January tracking above average temps, Australians are flocking to the beach in search of sun, surf, and something cold to drink. For those who forget their cooler, and are in dire need of ice-cold relief, help is arriving from the skies in the shape of an elusive Aussie legend.

On Saturday, 31 January 2026, the never-before-seen Great Aussie Kodiak Drop Bear will make his first-ever appearance at Coogee Beach’s Dunningham Reserve, delivering ice-cold refreshments by aerial drone to unsuspecting beachgoers.

Part Aussie myth, part premium cool-down service, the Kodiak Drop Bear is the creation of new Aussie-owned cooler and drinkware brand, Kodiak, and is their answer to one of summer’s greatest problems: warm drinks on scorching days.

David Yates, Founder of Kodiak, says:
