Luc-San: Sydney’s first French-Japanese bottomless brunch

Luc-San: Sydney’s first French-Japanese bottomless brunch

Luc-San is a relatively new Potts Point hot-spot that has been impressing locals with its delightful blend of French-Japanese fare since opening in 2023.

A charming neighbourhood French Izakaya (“stay-drink-place”), Luc-San allows you to savour the flavours and tastes of these two food-centric cultures with executive chef Luke Mangan and head chef Sammy Narang’s inventive menu.

Now they are giving you the chance to experience bacon and eggs like you’ve never tried them before with Sydney’s first French-Japanese bottomless brunch every Sunday. They’ve turned the humble breakfast staples on their head with their take which should make your Sunday feast both delicious and unforgettable.

Enjoy playful twists on the flavours, techniques and dishes of the two cuisines, with a seven-course menu that includes robata-grilled bacon skewers with gruyere cheese, smoked cured egg, nori and bearnaise, washed down with free-flowing cocktails like yuzu and chilli margaritas and French 75s. You simply can’t go wrong!

Luc-San’s Bottomless Sundays menu also plays homage to the dining cultures of France and Japan, with the inclusion of a pull-apart, honey-garlic-glazed brioche roll with shio koji cultured butter, and edamame with espelette pepper. Just delectable!

If that isn’t enough to tickle your tastebuds, there is also Japanese fried chicken with sauce gribiche and citrus, the outstanding Ora king salmon and kingfish nigiri with finger lime dressing and wasabi, and our top pick – the absolutely delicious Robata-grilled fish with miso and Luc-San ratatouille. Tasty, flavourful and utterly satisfying!

For dessert, guests can enjoy a DIY sundae station, featuring vanilla or yuzu soft-serve ice-cream and the choice of salted miso caramel, sakura berry lime or rainbow sprinkles (or all three).

Keep the weekend going with Luc-San’s new Sunday offering, as you sit back and enjoy great music, food and bottomless beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks, or elevate your experience with the option to upgrade to unlimited yuzu and chilli margaritas, Aperol and Yuzushu spritzes and French 75s.

With the venue’s spacious interior accommodating both the restaurant and a vibey French-izakaya bar with high tables and banquette booth seating, it’s a great spot to gather with friends and family and enjoy the fun bar atmosphere.

Luc-San’s Bottomless Sundays is available every Sunday from 11am to 5pm for $95 per person, with $35 for the add-on cocktail package. For more information or to book, visit www.luc-san.com.au.
