Manoosh Pizzeria, Enmore
One of Enmore’s favourite local pizza joints, Manoosh Pizzeria, recently upgraded their menu to include some great new pizzas, wraps, sides, salads and dips. With this in mind, we headed over to see what the new menu had to offer.
Initially starting out as a traditional Lebanese bakery, Manoosh Pizzeria have grown to become one of the most popular pizza spots in the inner west. One of their specialties include their traditional Lebanese wraps. Their dough is made in-house using a traditional Lebanese family recipe, and is cooked to be authentically soft and fresh, just as you’d find it on the streets of Lebanon
But the pizzas are the definite hero on the menu with choices ranging from Margarita, Pepperoni Burst, Hawaiian, Super Supreme, BBQ Chicken, Vegetarian, and more. We decided to try the Spicy Prawns and Chorizo. Served with a lemon wedge on a tomato sauce base, this beauty came with smoked chorizo, garlic prawns, char-grilled eggplant and roasted capsicum topped with mozzarella, garlic olive oil, chilli flakes and shallots. A beautiful combination of flavours that was delicious and a touch spicy – outstanding.
We didn’t think this one could be topped but then we tried the Chilli Chicken. Served on a sweet chilli sauce base, this one comprised of chicken breast, fetta cheese, roasted capsicum, white onion, mushroom, chilli flakes and mozzarella topped with peri peri and fresh coriander. This one was just bursting with flavour and also managed to be a touch spicier. If you’re looking for a pizza to try while visiting, don’t leave without getting your mouth around this one.
To soothe our slightly scorched tongues, we decided to sample a salad or two starting with the Tabouli. Featuring freshly chopped parsley, diced tomato, diced red onion and cracked wheat tossed in a lemon and olive oil dressing, it certainly did the job. It was fairly drowned in lemon juice so slightly sour but it totally quenched the thirst.
We ended the night with a fine Mediterranean Salad. With baby spinach, iceberg lettuce, cherry tomato, cucumber, red onion, Kalamata olives, and Danish fetta tossed in a balsamic dressing, it was delicious and authentic momentarily transporting us to a Greek Island while enjoying it.
From their humble beginnings, Manoosh Pizzeria has grown to become one of the most popular pizza joints having opened a second store in Marrickville in 2015 to meet the growing demand. Creating delicious, authentic food using traditional family recipes, we can’t recommend them highly enough. Open seven days a week.
