Pacha Heats Up Sydney
Pacha Sydney at ivy will be heating up the city this winter with incredible new shows launching at ivy on 25 May. There will be three new rotating shows – ‘insex’, ‘dragonfire’ and ‘myths’ – each taking you on a stunning ride into the imagination, with choreographed performances by some of Australia’s best dancers, awe-inspiring installations, roving artists, crazy circus acts and mind-blowing displays by the Pacha cast including fire dancing, stilt-walking, contortion and more.
Each and every Saturday night at George Street’s iconic ivy, guests will be treated to a spectacular display of world-class performances over 4 levels and 10 bars. With an incredible blend of theatrics, dance, music, light and costumes, the Pacha Sydney experience is engaging and entertaining.
Pacha Sydney has recruited some of the world’s most acclaimed creative directors, extensive cast of professional performers, designers and audio visual technicians to create an experience that really is like no other in Australia. The new shows are the masterpieces of creative heavyweights Ignatius Jones and Craig Illot, alongside Merivale’s CEO Justin Hemmes and Pacha Director Andy El-Bayeh. Ignatius, who boasts a stellar list of credits to his name including Vivid Sydney Festival and 2000 Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, claims that Pacha Sydney is one of the most craziest, sexiest and most ambitious things he has ever done.
The cast will be dressed in spectacular new costumes created by acclaimed set and costume designer James Browne. Each costume is a dramatic spectacle in itself, sourced and made by the best suppliers from all over the world. Be there – every Saturday night from 25 May (2013)!
