The Voice Blitz Charts
With almost two million viewers consistently tuning in to watch The Voice on our TV screens, it’s no surprise to see the contestants of the show taking over the iTunes and ARIA charts. While Harrison Craig and Jackie Sannia have been the biggest success stories in recent weeks, this week it’s Luke Kennedy’s turn as he becomes the first 2013 contestant to score a Top 10 debut on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ skyrocketing to #8. Emma Pask isn’t far behind with her plush version of the Sergio Mendes classic ‘Mas Que Nada’ landing at #15. Despite being eliminated from the show, she has also scored a win on the albums chart with her 2010 independently recorded ‘Some Other Spring’ debuting at #32. And if Ricky Martin keeps his promise, Pask will also be appearing as a guest vocalist on his next album release. Speaking of Martin, his ‘Greatest Hits’ package sits at #2 on the albums chart and is not far behind Michael Buble’s ‘To Be Loved’ which has been sitting pretty at the top for several weeks. Stay tuned to see who takes over the charts next week.
