Add ‘Taste’ to your sensory Vivid Sydney experience this year at Cockle Bay Wharf. Sydney’s favourite harbour side precinct is offering not just one of the best locations to take in the light, music and ideas festival, but also a bespoke cocktail in an illuminated glass to sip along with it.

Eight talented cocktail ‘mixologists’ have been hard at work behind the bars of their respective Cockle Bay Wharf venues to encapsulate this iconic Sydney event and bring you the best Vivid Sydney experience they possibly can in a cocktail glass.

Visitors to Cockle Bay Wharf can sample a different blissful concoction for $15 every night of the festival at a number of participating waterfront restaurants.

You can also keep the Vivid Sydney experience alive by taking home the illuminated resin cocktail glass that not only changes colour but comes free with each of the special edition cocktails.

The participating restaurants and bars include ADRIA Bar Restaurant, I’M ANGUS Steak House, NICKS Seafood Restaurant, PONTOON Bar, BAIA The Italian, BLACKBIRD Cafe, TOKIO Hotel and CAFÉ DEL MAR Sydney.

The mouth-watering cocktail creations come with tantalising names such as Fairy Floss Cosmo, White Chocolate Martini, Watermelon Crush, Frosty Fruit, Vivaldi, White Flower, Vivid Apple and La Noche and are all inspired by and especially created for Vivid Sydney.

General Manager, Cockle Bay Wharf, Anthony Ridge said that with over 250,000 visitors to Vivid Sydney last year, numbers are expected to be even higher this year as the festival gains momentum and a stronger following with every year.

“Vivid Sydney represents one of the precinct’s busiest periods on the calendar and we are delighted to offer visitors to the festival one of the best seats in the house,” Mr Ridge said.

“The colours and flavours of each bespoke cocktail that Cockle Bay Wharf venues will bring to the festival this year will really add an experiential taste element to the sounds and visuals Vivid Sydney is renowned for.”
