As part of National Diabetes Week, Diabetes NSW is calling on the local community to help break a Guinness World Record, by joining together at Victoria Park, Camperdown to stand on one leg.
With music, a free sausage sizzle, and an opportunity to be part of something big, we think you’ll enjoy your lunch break spent in the beautiful Victoria Park.
Did you know that there are over 3 diabetes-related amputations every day in NSW alone? We are all touched by diabetes in some way and we’d love for you to help us spread the word and raise awareness for the condition. Bring your family, friends and grandparents to this fun event.
Not sure if you can stand on one leg? Check out our standing on one leg tips:
– Focus your attention on one spot in front of you.
– Rest your lifted leg on another part of your body or hold it in your hand.
