Wok on Inn: P’Nut Street Noodles
Street noodle bar, Wok on Inn, has recently opened its sixth location at the dynamic East Village in Zetland. From Bangkok and Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, diners are transported straight to the bustling streets of Asia and can experience the vibrant flavours of true hawker-style street food.
Using ingredients of the highest quality and imitating the renowned ready-to-eat element of street food, Wok on Inn creates delicious and fresh dishes with bold flavours that really hit the taste buds. And hit our taste buds it did on our recent visit to the new Zetland restaurant.
We kicked off with a side of Vegetable Spring Rolls which consisted of fresh vegetables and glass noodles rolled in golden pastry, served with hoisin mango juice. This was followed by a Thai Fish Cake which was full of herbs and spices served with sweet chilli sauce. A delicious start before digging right in to the main.
If you’re one that enjoys creating your own meal, then the ‘Have It Your Way’ menu will suit you perfectly allowing you to make your own noodles in three easy steps. But we were far too lazy for that and chose to try items from the “Have It Our Way” menu. And we’re glad we did as the dishes were bursting with flavour.
The Cashew Nut Noodles were an explosion of crunchy cashew nuts, broccoli, and capsicum wok tossed with hokkien noodles and tender chicken breast in chilli jam sauce. A mouth-watering and very filling meal. We also opted for the Pad Thai – a delicious gluten-free option (with Chicken or Prawn & Chicken). The meal consisted of home style rice noodles with egg, green shallots, crushed peanuts and dried shrimp. Another highly satisfying and filling meal.
Wok on Inn truly recreates the streets of Asia allowing you to immerse yourself in the distinct taste of exotic flavours. Make sure to “Wok on Inn” at the new Zetland restaurant to experience a true street style lunch or dinner.
