Cabana Bar doubles in size to become the largest rooftop venue in Sydney’s CBD

Set amongst the striking architecture of 25 Martin Place, Cabana Bar is a resort-style al fresco playground encompassing a couple of bars, semi-private dining, and the city’s largest outdoor terrace.

Cabana Bar – by leading hospitality group Tilley & Wills Hotels – recently doubled in size thanks to its new rooftop space which offers dreamy glimpses of the Sydney cityscape.

The transformation reinforces the group’s commitment to creating vibrant, contemporary hospitality destinations that elevate Sydney’s social scene. Tilley & Wills Hotels picked up three major honours at the recent AHA NSW Awards for Excellence, recognising the group’s ongoing commitment to quality, innovation, and service across its venues.

Cabana Bar is all about escaping the 9-5 and drinking cheeky, eating well and holidaying often. The amazing interior strikes the perfect balance between poised and playful, cheeky and classy. The open-plan bar features an al fresco terrace with a mix of impressive indoor and outdoor spaces nestled within a chic curved design.

Deep pacific-blue leather banquettes and sand-hued timber furnishings engulf the venue, drawing influence from South-America. Wrapped in a veil of greenery above the rooftops of Martin Place, the spacious loft offers a breezy getaway from the concrete jungle below.

The menu is fresh and delicious and experiments with the best of Australian seasonal ingredients. Treading a fine line between a pub, restaurant and bar, you’ll find staples such as the Classic Cheeseburger, Fish & Chips, Herb-Crumbed Chicken Schnitzel or Pan Seared Salmon at the top of the list of things to try.

The tacos are outstanding too with top picks being the scrumptious Prawn Tacos (tempura prawns, mango salsa, sriracha mayo, coriander) and the flavour-packed Fish Tacos (crispy beer battered barramundi tacos) which are showered with cabbage chipotle mayo and lime which will whisk your taste buds straight to South America!

Other highlights include the moreish Marinated Olives and zesty Tequila Cured Salmon, Seasonal Oysters, addictive Zucchini Blossoms, tasty Fried Squid and Cheese boards dotted with fruit paste, chutney, grapes and finished with crispy lavosh.

When it comes to the drinks, there’s quite the selection of cocktails to explore. The Coco Cabana-Rita is top-notch – an aromatic mix of 1800 Coconut Tequila, coconut, egg white and lime. For some tropical vibes, you simply cannot go past the classic Piña Colada with Malibu Coconut Liqueur, Pampero Blanco Rum, pineapple and coconut cream. Absolutely delicious! There’s also a fine wine selection that showcases select reds, whites and champagnes so guests can enjoy a top-end wine without having to crack a bottle.

Open from Monday to Saturday (11am to late), Cabana Bar is an inviting destination where you can kick back with friends or colleagues and escape the hustle-and-bustle.
