Luna Lu is the latest fine dining restaurant in Sydney to embrace Immersive Dining at their upstairs bar, Bar Lulu, in The Rocks.

Immersive dining is rapidly transforming the hospitality industry. Atmosphere and ambiance are elevated with modern technology, from projections to soundscapes, transporting diners to new environments and engaging all the senses.

Bar Lulu provides the perfect backdrop for such an experience with breathtaking views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House while the walls of the venue are transformed into an enchanting underwater world, a starscape, serene Asian garden and more.

The contemporary Asian Fusion restaurant is offering the experience every Thursday and Sunday night this winter, with a set menu or a la carte dining options. With features tailored for all kinds of occasions, this exclusive experience blends gourmet dishes with an interactive atmosphere, creating unforgettable memories for any event.

While enjoying the stunning visuals, you’ve got to indulge in some of the delicious food offerings. You can order off the menu while there but we’d highly recommend booking the set menu to make most of the experience.

To start, you’re in for a real treat with the light but incredibly scrumptious Mix Dim Sum with half moon, green dumpling and money bag, and the Sesame Prawn Toast which is an absolute standout. With King prawn mince coated in white sesame, sourdough, beetroot mayo and black flying fish roe, it’s a super crispy, super tasty instant classic that will no doubt be a crowd-favourite this winter!

For the mains, you get Honey Yuzu Crispy Fried Chicken (free range crispy chicken, dragon fruit, purple cabbage powder and nori), Edamame Fried Rice (fresh English spinach puree, broccolini and snow peas) and the delightful Peking Duck Luna Style (golden crispy premium duck infused with luxe Chinese rose wine, daikon, fresh scallions, 24 hr tamarind jus and tuscan kale) – a true delicacy!

You can then take a little break and enjoy the scenery as the projected themes change around you until the final dish hits the table. When you’re ready for dessert, you can indulge in the Pandan Deep Fried Ice Cream with caramelised popcorn, handmade freeze-dried raspberry powder and toffee sauce. It’s cold and creamy on the inside but with a crunchy exterior making for the perfect sweet treat to end your experience with.

Price: To order off the menu, entry to the immersive bar is $40pp. For the set menu featuring Luna’s Peking Duck and an array of modern fusion dishes, entry and dinner is $120pp ($55 for kids).
