Big Day Out 2014
The line-up for the 2014 Big Day Out has just been announced with Seattle’s Pearl Jam to headline all shows including playing different sets at each Sydney show. Officially closing the Blue Stage, this will be your only chance to see Pearl Jam in Australia and New Zealand this summer.
Arcade Fire are gracing Australia and New Zealand for the first time since their ethereal performances at Big Day Out 2008. Their 2010 album The Suburbs broke new ground, giving way for them to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, and with their new album due on October 29, it’s looking like 2014 will be Arcade Fire’s year. Arcade Fire will precede Pearl Jam. Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree have also reunited to bring Blur back down under. Blur have not seen our shores since 1997 and will play on a brand new stage called the Love Stage.
Also confirmed for the 2014 event are Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion, Major Lazer, Steve Angello, Flume, The Lumineers, Tame Impala, Dillon Francis, Mac Miller, Ghost, Grouplove, Flosstradamus, Portugal. The Man, Toro Y Moi DIIV, The Naked And Famous, Big Gigantic, PEZ, Mudhoney, Cosmic Psychos, Northlane The 1975, Loon Lake, Kingswood, Bo Ningen, The Algorithm, DZ Deathrays, Peking Duk, Ben Morris, and Rüfüs with more to be announced.
Exclusive pre-sale souvenier tickets are available now from all General Pants Co. stores nationally while Big Day Out Members have access to an exclusive online pre-sale on Friday August 2nd.
