Wonderful part-animation, part-live action retelling of Beatrix Potter classic rabbit tale mostly made in Australia. A brilliant production, breezy and funny.

Reboot of video game franchise replaces Angelina Jolie with equally as competent Oscar Winner Vikander for a sort of origin tale upped with treasure seeking high adventure.
READY PLAYER ONE

Ben Mendelsohn, Ty Sheridan, Olivia Cooke
Based on favourite pop culture prose master Director Steven Spielberg. Transfers into science-fiction retro adoring action, you may need to see twice to catch all the references including Back to the Future.
WRINKLE IN TIME
Rated PG – best suitable from age 9 (109 min)
Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Storm Reid
Boring over-blown fantasy children’s adventure with more substance than plot. Some great special effects but emotional threads are lost in translation with extreme emptiness.
LOVE SIMON

Scintillating coming of age story with dedicated believable cast shining a light on angst, acceptance, misery and love, sure to evoke tears of joy. It’s class all the way, standing ovation please.

Definite adults-only outrageous Animal House style comedy concerning a small posse of parents attempting to halt the experimental side of Prom for party hard kids.

Hilarious well-made animation sort of sequel to surprise hit Gnomeo & Juliet has the world’s greatest detective on the case of missing garden ornaments (which is a thing). Perfect for entire family.

So much fun from clay animation specialists, creators of Wallace & Gromit, with their version of the stone age era complete with all the cliches but hilarious and bright.
PAUL APOSTLE OF CHRIST

Another in a long line of recent faith-based films looks at the story of Paul going from persecutor of christians to apostle of christ. See also recently released MARY MAGDALENE as a complete holy weekend double feature.
