Goros Brings Japan To Sydney With ‘Cherry Bomb’
If you can’t make it to Tokyo this spring, Goros is bringing Japan’s famed Cherry Blossom Festival straight to Sydney.
For six electrifying weeks, Goros will be transformed into a pink wonderland, where neon-lit Tokyo meets the beauty of sakura season. From 2 April to 10 May 2025, Cherry Bomb invites guests to step into a vibrant Yozakura – Japan’s after-dark cherry blossom celebrations – right in the heart of Sydney. Expect striking cherry blossom installations, glowing lanterns, immersive decor, and a high-energy nightlife atmosphere, all designed for the ultimate late-night escape.
This year, Goros is taking the experience to the next level, combining a striking, Instagrammable setting with a limited-edition menu of Japan-inspired cocktails, indulgent pink-hued dishes, and an action-packed entertainment lineup.
A TRUE TOKYO-INSPIRED PLAYGROUND
Goros will be reimagined as a neon cherry blossom dreamscape, where guests can sip on themed cocktails under cascading sakura blooms and revel in an atmosphere inspired by Japan’s most vibrant nightlife districts. The bar’s transformation makes for the perfect setting to capture the moment, making it one of Sydney’s most visually immersive experiences this season.
Elliot Solomon, CEO of Solotel says, “Goros is all about pushing boundaries, and this year’s Cherry Bomb is no exception. From the over-the-top Goros Castle to our neon-lit sakura wonderland, it’s an experience Sydneysiders won’t want to miss.”
LIMITED-EDITION CHERRY BOMB MENU
The pink-themed food and drink menu is set to include dishes such as: Watermelon Sashimi, Tempura Prawn Bao and Strawberry Fried Ice Cream. In addition, the above delights can all be washed down with limited edition cherry bomb themed cocktails including but not limited to: a Momo Kitty, made with Nikka Coffey Vodka, Peach Sake, Yuzu and green apple or a Ume Sour, with Nikka Days Whisky, Umeshu, Watermelon and lemon.
KARAOKE, DJS & THE RETURN OF GOROS CASTLE
The Cherry Bomb experience extends beyond the menu, delivering Goros’ signature high-energy entertainment with a Japanese twist. Every night, guests can expect free karaoke, DJs, and a dancefloor that keeps the party going until late.
But the real spectacle? Goros Castle is back—Sydney’s most chaotic, laugh-out-loud game night inspired by the legendary Takeshi’s Castle. Happening during the first week of each month, this outrageous competition pits guests against each other in giant ramen-eating challenges, sumo suit showdowns, and weird and wacky games designed to test both skill and sheer determination. Expect wild surprises, ridiculous obstacles, and plenty of hilarious fails, with prizes up for grabs for the bravest contenders.
