The brand new menu at Lot. One reflects their ethos of ‘Australian fusion’ and features creative, multicultural ingredients and dishes. The dining fare paired with their brand new bar area which features somewhere to relax when sipping on your favourite cocktails or wines, is a truly refreshing experience. The vibe is a comfortable mix of old and new, modern and vintage and provides a beautiful space for great conversation amidst upbeat music.
On offer is a range of tasty bites, small and large plates, side dishes and indulgent desserts, all perfect for sharing and with something available to suit every palate. Featured plates include popcorn chicken or cauliflower coated in yuzu and tograshi with a hint of coriander, Albacore Tuna Sashimi with watermelon sriracha and heirloom tomato, and homemade maple glazed bacon with chestnut crème and cloves.
The new main dishes on the Autumn menu are hearty and classic with an innovative, international twist. The lamb collar with labneh and fermented grains and mint, accompanied with a glass of delicious Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon from Margret River is the ideal heartwarmer as the weather cools down. Or try the creatively divine ‘Mushroom Medley’ with fried and fresh mushrooms, pine nuts and pecorino.
Ingredients are fresh, local where possible and always prepared with care and dedication by co-owner and Head Chef Xenia and the team. Xenia always stresses the inclusion of the entire kitchen team when planning a new menu, as she believes it creates diversity and embraces multicultural influences, plus empowers the team and makes for a fun and interesting workplace.
The drinks menu also changes regularly with a twist on classic cocktails being a specialty of co-owner Michael. This season, the Amish Tipple and Lemon Meringue Old Fashioned are ideal for autumn evenings. The wines on offer complement the seasonal dishes to a tee and feature a combination of Australian and classic international varieties, with independent and small producers being a focus.
