Founders of up-and-coming ice tea brand Nexba, Troy Douglas and Drew Bilbe, share their top 5 local hot spots with Sydney Unleashed.
BEST HIDDEN BEACH:
You’ll find Collins Beach tucked away in Sydney Harbour National Park not far from Manly beach. It’s an absolute gem that not many people know about. If you’re lucky, you might even get the whole beach to yourself.
BEST CHEAP EAT:
One of the best new additions to the Sydney culinary scene are food trucks, and our all-time favourite is Jafe Jaffles. The canary yellow Combi is the ultimate hub for gourmet jaffles and a can of our Nexba ice tea. Find it near festivals or beach-side during the summer months.
BEST SECRET GARDEN:
Wendy Whiteley’s secret garden is one of Sydney’s hidden gems to enjoy some quiet time away from the city. Owned by the wife of iconic Aussie artist Brett Whiteley, this lush garden in North Sydney boasts serene harbour views and beautiful sculptures.
BEST SUNDAY HOT SPOT:
Vine Double Bay is our new favourite go-to for eating and drinking in the Eastern suburbs. This contemporary French eatery has a dessert board to die for. Add their Unwind At Vine Sunday sessions to your calendar for relaxed live music and great drinks.
BEST DATE SPOT:
If you’re looking for wow factor it’s hard to beat Manly’s North Head lookout, which has incredible city, harbour and ocean views. With plenty of room to set up a picnic blanket and pop a bottle of wine, this has to be one of the best date spots in Sydney.
