The owners of the successful Wild Sage Cammeray have branched out and opened their second restaurant, Wild Sage Barangaroo.
Located at Exchange Place (Barangaroo), the new venue is in a prime spot literally just metres away from the three ‘International Towers’.
This vibrant, world class offering captures the essence of the original with a distinct personality and atmosphere. Wild Sage Barangaroo offers an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch, as well as a bar menu designed for after-work drinks, 7 days a week. The venue has a wide-ranging wine menu with over 60 options available and has more than 20 delicious cocktails on offer, which have each been created by their in house mixologist.
Wild Sage also have a house blend coffee designed for those who need a coffee with a little extra punch to get them through the day – perfect for office workers in the precinct. The venue sits in perfect harmony with the existing building, Australia’s first timber engineered commercial property. The interiors reflect the sustainable design elements of the building, with earthy tones and natural materials used to create a warm, comforting yet contemporary atmosphere. The overall ambience is one of innovation, sustainability and personality, which perfectly reflects the brand culture of Wild Sage.
Wild Sage Barangaroo’s extensive offering has been slightly tweaked from the original whilst still showcasing some of the Wild Sage classics. These include the highly Instagrammable French Toast (Crunchy Cornflakes covered brioche French toast with mix berries, whipped mascarpone, maple syrup & crushed pistachios), Shakshuka, Lamb Fry Up, and Chilli Scramble – all highlights on the breakfast menu.
Lunch-time favourites include the Beef Burger, Brisket Sandwich, Ox Cheek, Ravioli, Rib Eye 300g, Wagyu, and the Market Fish which we devoured with great delight on our recent visit. It definitely gets our thumbs-up. Also of note is the appetizing starter menu which includes Cuttle Fish, Pork Belly Lollypops, Grilled Cauliflower, and our favourite, Tuna Tataki. This exceptional dish features seared sesame-crusted tuna with cucumber ribbons, chilli, mango, coriander and wasabi mayo. Highly recommended!
But the standout has to be the Seared Tuna Salad. This absolutely delicious gem comes with crispy kipfler potatoes, olives, heirloom tomatoes, quail eggs, lettuce hearts, radish, wasabi mayo, kale pesto and sesame seeds. The perfect mix of ingredients, a generous portion size, and beautifully presented. Simply faultless.
