Smoothies are getting an adults-only makeover with the launch of Boost’s new premium Black Label range.
The innovative new range features a variety of fresh, premium ingredient combinations – including pomegranate, basil and lucuma – which are not only nutritious, but deliver a more sophisticated flavour profile.
Boost founder Janine Allis says there are four delicious options to suit different palates and nutritional goals.
“Health is becoming more important to people and customers are looking for options to suit their lifestyles and nutrition goals so we considered this very carefully when developing this range with our Boost dietitian,” she said.
“Our premium Black Range is designed to offer a variety of nutritional benefits. If you want to increase your daily intake of green veggies, try Pure Eden. If you’re hitting the gym, Protein Supreme has been formulated for highly active people to support muscle growth and recovery after exercise.
“Mango Mirage is gluten free and low in fat and contains our Immunity Booster to support a healthy immune system. The Red Royale smoothie contains antioxidants due to the delicious combination of berries, pomegranate and the Superfruit booster. Antioxidants help combat free radical damage that can be caused by stress and poor diet.
She said the new recipes were developed with health benefits as the main priority but, as always, flavour and taste were essential to ensuring the smoothies would be a hit with customers.
“We wanted to make sure these smoothies were nutritious so we started with different combinations of whole blended fruit and vegetables to retain the maximum fibre and nutrients possible,” she said.
“We know that above all, people want a smoothie that tastes delicious, and we believe that great taste and good health can go hand in hand. We worked for several months in our smoothie kitchen formulating and refining the premium Black Range recipes. We know they taste amazing and they’ve been hugely popular in the limited trials we’ve held at selected locations around the country.”
