Rosso Pomodoro Celebrates Two Decades & Two Million Pizzas
Award-winning pizzeria Rosso Pomodoro is marking a major milestone – 20 years of serving some of Sydney’s best pizza. Since opening in Balmain in 2005, the beloved institution has served over 2 million pizzas, won numerous awards, and even attracted a host of celebrity fans, including Rebel Wilson and Michael Sheen. It’s also a favourite of top chefs like Peter Gilmore and Martin Benn, Benn once even brought his own truffle to shave over his pizza!
To celebrate, Rosso Pomodoro is launching a special “20 Pizzas for 20 Years” menu, featuring its best-selling pizzas from the past two decades. The menu will be available in its Bondi Junction location throughout April, offering fans the chance to relive the flavours that have made Rosso Pomodoro a Sydney icon.
As part of the celebrations, the team is also bringing back late-night dining in Bondi Junction, with all pizzas from the anniversary menu available for just $20 from 10pm until 12am throughout April 2025.
“Our pizzas have always been about simple, high-quality ingredients, an uncompromising dedication to Italian tradition, and our signature 72-hour dough,” says co-owner Ketty Laffi. “When we first opened, people told us we’d never make it without putting ham and pineapple on the menu – but we refused, and 20 years later, we’re still thriving.”
“The anniversary menu features our most-loved pizzas, made the way they should be – with patience, passion, and the best ingredients possible.”
To add to the festivities, Rosso Pomodoro is also offering 2-for-$20 Negronis and Aperol Spritz with any post-10pm pizza purchase throughout April, as well as a mouth-watering limited edition Strawberry Tiramisu. The team will also be giving away 200 FREE pizzas via DoorDash on Sunday 6th April 2025.
Since its inception, Rosso Pomodoro has redefined Sydney’s pizza scene with its uncompromising philosophy: Italian toppings only, no half-and-half, and bases proven for 72 hours. The same dedication to quality is seen at its Bondi Junction location, where the signature blend of Neapolitan and Roman-style pizza continues to win fans.
For those looking to celebrate 20 years of Rosso Pomodoro, there’s never been a better time to pull up a chair, enjoy a late-night slice, and raise a Negroni to another 20 years of Sydney’s favourite pizza.
