This NYE, back by exuberant fan demand, Europe’s best beach club Tropicana Beach Club Mykonos is coming to Sydney. Voted the hottest beach club in the world by the Travel Channel for four years, the five-star event will be hosted by Keystone Group’s Bungalow 8, with its indoor/outdoor setting ideal for the biggest night of the year. Australian entertainment masterminds Beatcorp have locked in MC Sasa – the King of Mykonos and DJ Argie, resident DJ at Europe’s best-rated clubs (as rated by djmag.com) Tropicana & Cavo Paradiso, alongside a selection of the best European and local talent, for a full-scale audio-visual assault of the senses.
Beatcorp directors James and Harry are committed to making this year’s production one that goes down in history. “More than anything, Mykonos is a feeling,” says James. “It’s hard to articulate – it’s electrifying, it’s spine-tingling, it sends vibrations through every single fibre of your being; it’s indescribable – and Tropicana Australia have assembled a full-scale, world-class production with some of Europe’s hottest MCs and DJs to emulate that exact feeling. What’s more, it’s right on Sydney Harbour – so we’ll be under some of the best fireworks in the world as we see in 2015.”
The crew at Beatcorp have squeezed even more talent for this year’s line-up, with Fear of Dawn (signed to major Australian dance label OneLove and in charge of some of Sydney’s leading nightlife events including Saturdays at Hugos Lounge and Escape events), alongside fifteen hand-selected, home-grown DJs and talent, to be released.
“We wanted a line-up that just detonates; something that gives you the latest in Euro, electro, progressive house and dance, fresh from the shores of Mykonos and our own backyard. Every name on the line-up will get you moving,” says James. “And Sasa… Sasa’s crazy. He’s the King of Mykonos – people love him!” he says of the Italian-born Mykonian. “If you’ve been to Tropicana Mykonos, you’ll know exactly who Sasa is – and if you haven’t, come along for a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he chuckles. “MC Sasa is as well-known for his trademark wardrobe of elephant-trunks as he is for his ability to entertain the masses.”
Joining ‘the King’, Bungalow 8 welcomes ridiculously-talented Tropicana and Cavo Paradiso resident, DJ Argie. Spanning a fifteen year career predominantly through Europe’s hottest party hubs, DJ Argie has played with Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Benny Benassi, Erick Morillo, Knife Party, Alex Gaudino, An21, Max Vangeli, Autoerotique, Federico Scavo, Satoshi Tomiie, Hector Romero, Conqorock, Supernova and many more. With his self-professed biggest love being progressive and electro house, the Tropicana Sydney event organisers are excited to bring him to Sydney.
