Meet Silver Cities
Silver Cities is a fresh new dance-rock outfit from Sydney, Australia. Described as a fusion of Paramore, The Killers and Calvin Harris, with a cutting edge ‘club/rock’ inspired sound, their new single ‘Lights’ will make you want to dance!
Prior to joining Silver Cities, vocalist Hayley Jensen shot to fame after placing fourth in the second series of Australian Idol, after which she formed a record label, released a solo album and toured the country, performed for Coalition Forces in Iraq, for the Prime Minister on a number of occasions, and at all major entertainment centres around Australia.
Hayley, Sam Young & Peter Wright have been collaborating musically since 2010. “We had been performing together under a different name for a few years,” says Hayley, “but when we started song writing for our new album, the music we were creating was a dramatic departure stylistically from what we had previously written…the new songs were high energy, exciting, and super catchy! So we decided to start fresh and launch a brand new project as Silver Cities, and so far the response has been incredible!”
Silver Cities first single ‘Lights’, which is out now on iTunes, was produced by top Australian pop producer, Lindsay Rimes (Timomatic, Joel & Benji Madden, Stan Walker), mastered by Leon Zervos (Rihanna, P!nk, Maroon 5), and the stunning music video has just been added to ‘MTV Most Wanted’ playlist! Catch them touring with Evermore over the coming months. Silver Cities are set to sky rocket in 2013!
